The first impression was: "God, it's terribly big"

 ...but we decided to go for it!

We bought an unfinished renovation of an old pub into a guest house with a restaurant , with intension to reconstruct it into a cottage for us...

               Everyone experiences one, or at most two, lucky coincidences, that can change their entire life, or at least point their way in the right direction.

Our lucky coincidence came on a rainy Saturday morning when we discovered a wonderful wooden house for sale in Veľké Borové. We had never heard of this charming village before, but when we came to Borové for a visit, we knew right away that we belonged here.

It was love at first sight.

We couldn't wait for spring so we could finally begin the complete reconstruction of the wooden house. But Covid came and wanted to disrupt our plans. Well, we did not give up and managed the entire reconstruction together with our children.

Today we are the proud owners of a 120-year-old completely renovated wooden house in this beautiful village, which is surrounded by virgin nature. Beautiful meadows that are usually filled with sheep and cows and with their presence create an incredible atmosphere. 

Such magical places that we have in Slovakia must be protected so that we have something to draw energy and strength from.
